After laying dead in Bahamut’s battlefield for a while, we figured that we should just Home Point. Because I, the only one still with RR on, tried to get up once and instantly aggroed the Wyrm King at longer distant than casting range. FU, Bahamut! t(-”-)

So we regrouped and rearranged party. Some people had to go to sleep so we tried to discuss what to do next. Then Kennchann, Arkades, and Holidiver popped. We were considering whether to reattempt Bahamut now or tomorrow…. Then Cornie said “Oh, Kenichi wants to kill that huge dragon for the new dagger.” I asked him which dragon, hoping it wasn’t the black dragon in the sky of Xarcabard (S) because it ate a million of people, including us! And it turned out to be an Abyssea NM in Tahrongi. I said, of course, love to kill shits!

สรุปว่าหลังจากนอนคลุกฝุ่น ในสภาพผู้พ่ายแพ้ที่โดนบาฮามุทมองจิกด้วยหางตาอย่างหยามเหยียดและหัวเราะ เยาะพลางร่ายคาถาบัฟใส่ตัวเองอยู่ประมาณสองสามอึดใจ ก็สรุปว่ากดปุ่มกลับเมืองดีกว่า เพราะแม้เราจะอาสาว่าจะกลับไปแล้ววิ่งมา R3 เพื่อประหยัด EXP แต่กว่าจะเข้ามาถึงในนี้ มันต้องใช้ Giant Scale ด้วย ทุกคนก็ปรึกษากันแล้วบอกว่า ไม่ไหวละ กลับเมือง ไม่รอ ก็เลยกลับ และสามคนแยกย้ายออกจากตี้ ไปนอน หลังจากนั้นคอร์นก็คุยกับเคนอิจิ แล้วบอกว่า เคนอิจิอยากไปตีมังกร เราก็ถามว่าเฮ้ยมังกรไหน อย่าบอกนะว่ามังกรดำที่บินอยู่ใน Xarcabard (S) คอยโฉบลงมาจับคนไปกิน เค้าก็บอกว่าไม่ใช่ เป็น Wyrm NM ใน Abyssea ตรง Tahrongi เพราะมี dagger ใหม่ที่เคนอิจิอยากได้ เราก็บอกว่า ไปสิ ชอบอยู่แล้ว ฆ่าตัวอะไรใหญ่ ๆ เนี่ย มัน!

Then we gathered. I don’t know the detail on how Corn planned or explained stuff, but we got 6 ppl before entering. Me being the ambulance, Corn changed to BLM, DK brought his nuker puppet, Holydiver was BLU, Kenken as BRD, and Ark being the uber tank PLD. So the brief information was that this Wyrm will fly, so we cannot reach it with any kind of melee attack. Main DD would be the nukers. Ark would confront it and try to stay in the lower spot of the hill, in order to make use of the terrain to keep the AoE damage away from us. Me? I was to keep people alive as usual.

So while we were walking to the Wyrm spot, we stopped by at one or two Conflux to activate teleporter. So the conversation went like….(I didn’t save chatlog, so this was all rewritten from rough memory)

DK : “So I use my puppet to nuke and do I melee it too?”
Corn : “Can’t hit it, it’s a flyer.”
DK : “Oh, really?”
Holy : “Crap, does that mean I should set magical spells instead of physical?”
Corn : “Yes dude.”
Ark : “How tough is he? I have 27 Magic Def. Bonus, will that do?”
Corn : “That’s a lot already.”
Alec : “Hope he’s not as thick skinned as the damn turtle.”
Corn : “Ummm not sure, Kennchann said yesterday they tried with 12 ppl and failed.”

Err…. Don’t we have 6 people at the moment?

ก็ไม่รู้ว่าเขาคุยอะไรกันยังไง และมีรายละเอียดแบบไหนบ้าง แต่สรุปว่า Arkades กับ Holidiver ตกลงจะไปช่วยด้วย ก็เลยไปรวมตัวกันที่หน้า Maw เพื่อรอเข้าไปอะบิส ปรากฏว่าเคนจังคนชวนแม่งมาสายสุด (บู่วววววววว) เราก็เข้าไป แล้วเดินกันอย่างเรื่อย ๆ ชิล ๆ ใครเปิดช่องเทเลพอร์ตใกล้จุดหมายแล้วก็ไป ใครไม่ได้เปิดก็ใช้อันอื่นที่ใกล้ ๆ ไปก่อน แล้วค่อยเดินต่อ อ่า อาชีพก็มี PLD, WHN, BLM, PUP, BRD, BLU กะว่าเข้าไป nuke เยอะ ๆ เพราะมันเป็นมังกรที่บินได้ เลยฟันไม่โดน

ระหว่างที่ยังเดินไปไม่ถึงจุดหมาย ก็เกิดบทสนทนาขึ้น…. เนื่องจากไม่ได้ก็บแชทล็อกไว้ เลยเขียนแบบเอาที่หลาย ๆ คนพูดมายำ ๆ รวมกัน

DK : “ให้ puppet ยิง nuke แล้วให้ผมสู้ประชิดตัวด้วยมั้ยอ่ะ”
Corn : “อัดไม่โดนน่ะ มันบิน”
DK : “อ้าว เหรอ”
Holy : “เวร งี้ก็ต้องเซ็ทคาถาพวกที่เป็น magical แทนสินะ”
Corn : “เออ สิ”
Ark : “แล้วมันเก่งแค่ไหนอ่ะ Magic Def. Bonus ผมมี 27 จะพอมั้ยเนี่ย”

Anyway, we got to the camp, Corn walked around explaining things and the tactics to avoid AoE, battle plans, and etc. Then he ran to Kennchann to help pulling. We got ready (brace for the impact!) And so the Wyrm arrived… He sure looks intimidating. Ark pulled first hate once they arrived, and both Cornie and Kenken got into position. Cuelebre started with a nasty move…. Slowga. Which really pissed me off. He kinda cast it right before my Haste landed. So my Haste had no effect on Ark…. So I got angry and cast Erase on Ark, haste myself, then haste Ark, only to find out that the damn Wyrm cast Slowga again, nullifying my Haste. GAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! You bastard!!!!!!!

อย่างไรก็ดี…..

เมื่อไปถึงแคมป์ คอร์นก็จัดแจงอธิบายตำแน่งยืน และเรื่อง AoE บลา ๆ ๆ เสร็จแล้วก็ไปช่วยเคนอิจิพูลมังกรมาที่แคมป์

So we back line people stay up here, letting Ark have a face-off with Cuelebre alone. Holy would run in and spam his Blue Magics, DK would send his puppet in to land nukes. Ken buffs the mages and helps with the cures, and Cornie nuke the hell out of it. We seemed to be doing good, because AoE damage didn’t hit the back liners.

Once in a while I would run in to recast Barstonra for Ark to help with the AoE damage. Look at how small I am….Comparing to the Wyrm’s foot. I think he could crush my Mithra with one swift stomp on the ground. LOL

Then sometimes enmity would go crazy, due to lack of physical damage from the tank, and Ark would have to fight so hard to get back the hate. The big bad bully would try to come into the mages corner to eat Corn. See I didn’t even stand at his spot, I had to run and stood far away. Squishy squishy!

By the way, I bought 3 stats enhancements from Cruor guy. I got Max HP up, Max MP up, and INT MND CHR up. It’s kinda cool I was having 70+73 MND, as oppose to the normal +63.

The fight was tough and people had to be on toes. MP was a big issue. Ark did very well and he always last long enough for my Devotion to recharge (15 mins.) I don’t like to badmouth other people, but some lousy paladins would use up all the MP they got my my Devotion (about 280 MP to 300 MP) within 5-8 minutes. That really pissed me off…. Like, they didn’t manage their own MP well and then became vulnerable and couldn’t even cure themselves. I’m not attaching any name here, but I want to let the world know that when such thing happens in my party, I want to scratch the paladin’s eyes out! Oh, mind you, I wouldn’t be as ticked off if paladin ran out of MP because they didn’t have any form of refresh assistance. Excuse me? Auto Refresh, Refresh, Devotion, yet you still manage to run out of mp? Are you kidding me?

Merit abilities had proven to be very useful in such situation. My fully merited Devotion helped a great deal, and Ark has his TP => MP convert move, which I could never remember the name.

Anyway, back to the story, we finally beat Cuelebre. Shame the dagger didn’t drop /comfort Kennchann.

Good battle, friends. I was very impressed. ^^ Was a fun fight.

Not trying to brag or anything, but I think we’re very good team. And maybe since we’re all close friends and had fought through a lot in FFXI together, we cooperated very well. Had I, or they, been in any party with same job setup with other people, I don’t think the result would be as cool. I think we have perfect harmony. Though DK said after we won that his THF/RNG might have dealt more DMG to the beast than his PUP.  >w<)/

So…. after leaving the Boyahda Tree and parted with Elwyn and Kujimaro, I dragged my sleepy head to King Ranperre’s Tomb along with Cornelious for this Treant NM. Actually I’ve seen this NM with Maxpeter a few times already. But I was never there soon enough to see the Saplings. So, when I heard from Cornelious that they will kill the Saplings soon, I got interested.

We arrived in the Ronfaure and Corny asked me to invite his friends, and they told him they got 2 or 3 sub DNC so there will be 3 Erase available at a time. Corny said, well, we have Esuna. So they started yelling he never told them he had a White Mage friend! lol! No! I’m not his WHM friend! I’m his MNK friend!!!

(Corny would object to my claim for sure, because whenever I met him in Sky, I was always White Mage, lol!!)

Anyway, when I arrived they were already killing some Saplings.  After killing 3 or 4 (as far as I saw) the big tree popped!

Well, this was a bad screenshot, because Corn and friends were still out there to the far left after finishing the last Sapling. =_=

Then we fought, it was a longer fight than I thought. And the NM ran around a lot because it has hate resetting move. The buffs removing move was also annoying.  I was frustrated, because I’ve always hated mobs that remove buffs. Seiryu, for example.

The fight went well, though not very smoothly. There was no fatal injuries, no NM stomping on mages (well it kinda poked and slapped Abigor around a bit, but no stomping.) And also….no drop lol! However, that was fun. Thanks for letting me in guys! Finally got that romantic & sweet title again, Mon Cherry.  ^^ Hehehe.

Oh, wait, after the fight, Cornelious was angry that the tree didn’t drop what he wanted, oops, wanted to go home the quickest way, so he blew himself up.

But hey, I was resting right there! Of course the worm aggroed me and Corny said oops, I forgot. LOL Yeah, people always forgot. I had at least 3 Ninjas doing the same thing to me before.

It’s ok though I have my lovely Repose. I really liked this spell since when it was newly added. It is truly a White Mage’s lifesaver. Through linkging, adding in party, as well as Dynamis runs, I’ve learned to master the quick-cast of Repose. Also, the other people were there looking out for me too. They got ready and engaged so quickly But when they saw it’s slept, they didn’t run in.

Abigor casted a teleport spell and we were out at a Telepoint Crag, leaving the only corpse behind Sorry Corny, dead body isn’t allowed in the taxi.

So it was time for me to log out and crawl into my bed. Good night! Sleep tight!

เมื่อวานนี้…. เบื่อ ๆ ไม่รู้จะทำอะไร เลยเข้าเกมไปเดินเล่น ไม่มีอะไรทำ ก็เลยใช้ Aleczan ใช้อาชีพ Warrior เลเวล 38 แบกดาบใหญ่ (Great Sword) ไปเดินเล่นแถว Valkurm (หาดนรก) ตีไปเรื่อย ทั้งก็อบลิน ทั้งแมลงปอ แล้วจู่ ๆคนใน LS (จำไม่ได้ละว่าใคร…. Tsazen หรือไงเนี่ยแหละ ฮืออออ โทษนะ สมองเสื่อม) ก็ทักขึ้นว่าอุ๊ยตาย ไปทำอะไรที่นั่น แคมป์บอสเหรอ?

ปากตอบว่า วู้ย เปล่าจ้ะ…. ส่วนในใจก็คิดว่า บ้งบอส(ห่า)อะไร ไอ้(เจี้ย) Valkurm Emperor น่ะเรอะ! ตูเคยแคมป์ 5 วันติดกันจนอ้วกจะแตกมาแล้ว ไม่อยากแคมป์อีกต่อไป เกลียดมัน เกลียด ๆ ๆ ๆ ๆ

เรื่องของเรื่องมีอยู่ว่า เมื่อก่อนน่ะ Brunestud (น้องชายตูเอง) เคยร้องอยากได้ Emperor Hairpin แต่ด้วยความที่ตอนนั้น VE มันไม่ดรอปเวอร์ชั่นของแท้แล้ว ให้แต่ของก๊อปที่เป็น EX/Rare ชื่อ Empress Hairpin เราก็เลยลงทุนนนนนนนน ทุ่มสุดตัว พาน้องไปแคมป์ NM เจ้ากรรมตัวนี้ หูย ขอบอกว่าที่สุดของที่สุดอ่ะ ความอดทนของตูถึงขีดจำกัดก็เพราะมัน

ไม่เค้ยไม่เคยมีความทรงจำที่ดีกับมันเลยพับผ่า…. (เรื่องเล่าโดยละเอียดกรุณาไปอ่านย้อนหลัง T.T)

เอาเป็นว่า….พอย้อนคิดแล้วยิ่งรู้สึกแค้น มันคาใจมาก ๆ ว่าอะไรที่เราอยกาได้เราก็ต้องได้! ทำไมไอ้ Valkurm Emperor นี่มันถึงดื้อด้านนัก ไม่ยอมให้ของที่เราจะเอา(วะ) ก็เลยลอง search area ดู เห็นว่ามีคนน้อยสุด ๆ! เลยกลับเมืองไปเปลี่ยนมองค์/เรนเจอร์มา ลองแคมป์ดู

ตอนแรกก็ครองหาดคนเดียวอ่ะนะ แต่ยิ่งนานไปยิ่งมีคนเพิ่ม ไม่ถึงชั่วโมงก็กลายเป็นว่าเรามีคู่แข่งอีก 3 คน (ด๋อยโว้ยยยยยย) แต่เราก็ยังไม่ยอมแพ้ ยังไล่ฆ่า PH ต่อไปพลางจับเวลาด้วยสกิลที่มี recast นาน 5 นาที ในที่สุดมันก็เกิดโว้ยยยยยยย แต่มัวแต่ Wide Scan โดนคนอื่นวิ่งไปถึงก่อนด้วย Flee (กรี๊ดดดดด ไอ้เอลฟ์บ้า เอลฟ์เวร แง่ง) แต่มัน Voke ผิดตัวพะย่ะค่ะ!!!! กรี๊ดดดด ดีใจ รีบวิ่งไปในบัดดล พร้อม spam macro ท่า Chi Blast

ได้โว้ย ได้!!!! เคลมได้แล้ว!

Well, I did feel sorry for both of them but…. You know, I’ve been wanting this damn Hairpin for more than a year. When a chance comes, I had to grab it. Now I’m only feeling good for myself because I won’t have to return to that darned beach anymore! No more VE camping!!!

And at least you guy knew right then, that I wouldn’t be there to compete with you ever again. That’s 1 good thing there was.

ก็สู้ ๆ ไป อีกสองคนคงมองแบบว่าเจ็บใจ เพราะคนนึงมีโอกาสแล้ว แต่ Voke ผิด ส่วนอีกคนไม่รู้ทำไมไม่ร่าย Dia แต่ engage มาแต่ไกล…. กว่าจะวิ่งมาถึงก็โดนเรา Chi Blast ซำก่อน ฮ่วย…. แต่ก็นะ นี่แหละชีวิต นี่แหละการแข่งขัน น่าสงสารอยู่หรอก แต่เราไม่ได้อยู่ในสถานะที่จะเห็นใจคนอื่นได้ เพราะเราเองก็ตกระกำลำบากและเสียจริตจนจะประสามกับไอ้ Valkurm Emperor กับเจ้า Hairpin เวรตะไลนี่มานานเกินปีแล้ว ตอนนี้โล่งใจมากที่ได้มาครองในที่สุด ตูจะได้หมดเวรหมดกรรมกับมันซะที!!!

Today (I meant….very very late last night LOL) our target was Othinus’ Bow or the famous O-bow because our wtfRNG – Brunestud – wanted it. This rare/ex Crossbow drops from Goblin NM (Notorious Monster) named Wyvernpoacher Drachlox (looks like a Ranger, of course) in Gustav Tunnel. Actually we (Lusian, Brunestud, and I – Aleczan) went there once at about 20.00 my time (4 hours before the Maintenance scheduled on 28 Nov. 2007, 9.00 – 11.00 PST began) and killed Drachlox but the Crossbow didn’t drop. So we’d been waiting for the Maintenance to finish and logged in to camp again.

วันนี้ (หรือจะพูดว่าเมื่อคืนตอนดึกมาก ๆ ๆ ก็ไม่ผิด) เราพากันไปแคมป์ Othinus’ Bow หรือเรียกย่อ ๆ ว่า O-bow เพราะ Brunestud (ฉายา wtfRNG) อยากได้ มันคืออาวุธประเภทหน้าไม้ (Crossbow) ซึ่งเป็น rare/ex (ครอบครองได้แค่คนละอัน และย้ายโอนเจ้าของไม่ได้) ซึ่งต้องฆ่า Notorious Monster (ประมาณว่าคือมินิบอส รองบอส ตามแมพต่าง ๆ) ชื่อ Wyvernpoacher Drachlox (คาดว่ามีอาชีพ Ranger) ในดันเจี้ยนถ้ำริมชายหาดซึ่งมีชื่อว่า Gustav Tunnel อันที่จริงก่อนที่จะปิดเซิร์ฟเวอร์เพื่อปรับปรุงข้อมูลครั้งนี้ ตอนเที่ยงคืนเมืองไทย เราสามคน (Lusian, Brunestud และข้าพเจ้า คือ Aleczan) ไปตีมาแล้วรอบนึงเมื่อกระมาณ 2 ทุ่ม แต่มันตายแล้วไม่ยอมดรอป ก็เลยเล็งเอาไว้ว่าเซิร์ฟเวอร์เปิดมาอีกทีเมื่อไหร่จะรีบไปตะครุบ

Well, when I logged back in, I had like 7 Dhalmel Steaks in my inventory so I had to run around, trying to get rid of them by using Delivery Box, and therefore wasted a few minutes in Bastok. Lu and Brune arrived and found out that the NM popped. So I rushed to Gustav while they kept an eye on it, ready to claim if any competitor would show up. Well, the reason why they HAD to wait for me is that for safety and to reduce the risk of losing the battle and thus losing the chance to obtain O-bow. It’s not that they can’t win without me (I’m level 67, they’re both 75.)

พอเราเองกลับเข้าไปในเกม ก็ปรากฏว่าในช่องไอเทมเต็มไปด้วยเสต๊กเนื้อดาลเมล -0-;; ก็เลยต้องวิ่งวุ่นไปมาในบาสตอคอยู่พักใหญ่ เพื่อกำจัดออกจากกระเป๋า ด้วยการส่งไปรษณีย์ไปฝากที่ตัวละครอื่นของเราก่อน เสียเวลาไปหลายนาทีเหมือนกัน ลูกับบรูนไปถึงแล้วแล้วส่งข่าวมาบอกว่า NM มันเกิดด้วยว่ะเฮ้ย!!! เราก็เลยรีบใส่เกียร์หมา ตีนผี เหยียบมิดบึ่งไปทันที โดยที่ทั้งสองคนนั่งเฝ้าศัตรูเอาไว้ เตรียมไปฉกมาทันทีถ้ามีทีท่าว่าคนอื่นจะเข้ามาแย่ง เออที่เค้ารอเราไม่ใช่เพราะเราเก่งกาจอะไรหรอกนะ แค่เพื่อปลอดภัยไว้ก่อนอ่ะ ไม่งั้นถ้าแพ้ ตายกันหมดก็ต้องอดไอเทมใช่มั้ยล่ะ เราน่ะทำได้แค่ต่อย ต่อย ต่อย แล้วก็ต่อยเท่านั้น เลเวลแค่ 67 เอง ในขณะที่อีก 2 คนน่ะ 75 กันแล้ว

When I (bbqMNK) arrived in Gustav Tunnel, Lu yelled that someone else had came. So we all yelled “Pull!!!!” and Brune pulled Drachlox. The result? He got the claim, but also several links from Goblins around there. Lu ordered him to zone to get rid of the link and he ran….past me. I rushed in to help Lu hold the NM, while my bro ran for his life. He didn’t make it, though. [Death] [Mithra] [Ranger] Level [down] [You can have this.] So only Lusian and Aleczan got to fight the NM while Brunestud was resting in (un)peace. Just for safety, Lusian summoned his NPC buddy, Jesimae, to help curing, buffing, and enfeebling. The fight was easy because Lusian tanked with his lolPLD/RDM and made full use of RDM spells like Phalanx and Stoneskin. He ate Drachlox’s Eagle Eye Shot with no problem and we won.

พอเราผู้มีฉายาประจำก๊วนว่า bbqMNK เข้าไปถึง Gustav Tunnel ลูก็แหกปากบอกว่ามีคนมา เราทั้งหมดเลยพากันร้องให้ตะครุบมัน(ไอ้ก็อบลิน)เลย บรูนก็เลย pull เจ้า Drachlox มาสำเร็จ…. แต่แถมก็อบลินตัวอื่นพ่วงมาด้วยเป็นขบวนเลยอ้ะ… -0-;; ลูบอกให้บรูนหนีไป แล้ว zone ซะ (ออกนอกแมพเพื่อให้ศัตรูย่อยสลายไปตามธรรมชาติ) แล้ว Brune ก็วิ่งหนีฝูงก็อบสวนทางออกมา ในขณะที่เราวิ่งเข้าไปช่วย Lu ยันไว้ แต่อนิจจา… น้องชายของเราชะตาถึงฆาต เลยไปไม่ถึงปากทาง โดนสับหัวแบะ นอนจมทรายอยู่ในถ้ำแห่งนั้นเอง…. แถมพอตายแล้ว exp ต้องโดนลด ก็เลยตกจากเลเวล 75 ลงมาเป็นเลเวล 74 กร๊ากซ์!!! ก็เลยมีแต่เรากับ Lusian เท่านั้นที่ได้ยืนสู้ ในขณะที่น้องหนู Brunestud หลับใหลอย่าง(ไม่)สงบ เพื่อความไม่ประมาท ลูเลยเรียกคู่หู NPC ของเค้าออกมา เธอมีชื่อว่าน้อง Jesimae และสามารถร่ายคาถาช่วยเหลือระหว่างต่อสู้ได้ไม่ว่าจะเพิ่ม HP ด้วย Cure หรือช่วยเสริมพลังด้วยบัฟเช่น Protect II และบางทีก็ช่วยสาปศัตรูด้วยคาถาเช่น Slow ด้วย การสู้ค่อนข้างง่ายเพราะมีโคตรกระสอบทรายเป็นกันชน คือ Lusian ใช้พาลาดิน และใช้อาชีพเสริมเป็นเรดเมจ (ได้ฉายาว่า lolPLD/RDM) และใช้คาถาอย่างคุ้มค่าเช่น Phalanx และ Stoneskin ก็เลยเอาหน้าไปรับพลังทำลายของท่า Eagle Eye Shot จากศัตรูได้โดยไม่ล้มตายใด ๆ แล้วเราก็ชนะ!

And the Othinus’ Bow did drop!!!!! We all passed and Lu went to Raise Brune (hahaha he had to eat R1, but no option anyway, we didn’t want to wait for too long because we wanted to do something else after that) He got the bow and was quite happy.
